About this product
The pile height gauge is pushed into the turf and reads how much fibre stands above the infill. That free pile figure tells you when a pitch needs topping up, and whether the infill has been spread evenly from one end to the other.
Grounds staff take readings at several points across the pitch and compare them through the season to see where the infill is thinning. The gauge is made of aluminium.
